Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, and the legendary KAMAZ-master team took part in the International Russian-Chinese Winter Sports Festival "ZimFestAmur." The event also featured the latest-generation KAMAZ K5 high-tech vehicles.

The 7th International Russian-Chinese Winter Sports Festival "ZimFestAmur" took place in Blagoveshchensk. The opening ceremony took place on the frozen border of the Amur River, with the participation of Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Vasily Orlov, Governor of the Amur Region. Participants were also welcomed by Han Shengjian, Vice Chairman of the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province, and Qin Xu, Deputy Director of the Physical Culture and Sports Department of Anhui Province. This season, guest regions participated in the Winter Games on the Amur Ice Festival for the first time: the Republic of Tatarstan representing Russia and Anhui Province representing China. "This significant event is a shining example of the strengthening of the strategic partnership and friendly relations between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China. The Games demonstrate the importance of developing cooperation in sports, one of the most powerful platforms for uniting peoples and cultures. "Russia and China have a rich history of sporting achievements and traditions, and ambitious plans to promote healthy lifestyles and mass sports. This festival provides an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, enhance professional skills, and inspire a new generation of athletes," said Rustam Minnikhanov.

Amur Region Governor Vasily Orlov welcomed festival participants in Russian and Chinese. "Today, we are opening the Russian-Chinese Winter Sports Festival. This unique event has brought together representatives of various sports, and, starting this year, from different regions of both countries. I thank our long-standing partners from Heilongjiang Province, as well as guests from the Republic of Tatarstan and Anhui Province, and renowned athletes from both countries, for their support and participation. I am confident that the festival will further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between our peoples," said Amur Region Governor Vasily Orlov.

Rustam Minnikhanov, Vasily Orlov, and Deputy Chairman of the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province Han Shengjian, along with representatives from Anhui Province, then opened the hockey match between young hockey players from the Ak Bure team (Russia) and their peers from the Heilongjiang and Anhui Provinces (China) with a symbolic puck drop. After watching the hockey match, the festival's distinguished guests toured the other competition venues. They watched spectacular demonstration runs in trucks by the renowned KAMAZ-master team. Team leader Eduard Nikolaev and young pilot Almaz Akhmedov demonstrated paired drifting.

Master of Sports of International Class, Honored Master of Sports of Russia in Motorsports Rustam Minnikhanov took the wheel of a K5-generation KAMAZ sports truck. The Rais of Tatarstan gave his colleague, the Governor of the Amur Region, a ride right on the ice of the Amur River. "I've never driven a KAMAZ so fast," Vasily Orlov shared his impressions.

An extensive cultural and sports program was prepared for city residents and visitors on the embankment, with Amur and Tatar groups performing on stage. The festival also featured an exhibition of modern automotive equipment, which was attended by AvtoCenterSamaragd, the official dealer of KAMAZ PJSC in the Amur Region. The exhibition featured high-tech K5-generation KAMAZ-54901 tractor units powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). This model features a KAMAZ R6 (Euro 5) gas engine producing 460 hp, an automated transmission, and two cryogenic tanks holding 1,060 liters of liquefied natural gas. Using LNG significantly reduces fuel costs, with a range of up to 1,600 km on a single fill, making this model one of the most efficient for businesses. Also on display were models of specialized equipment in demand in the region: the time-tested all-wheel drive KAMAZ-43118 flatbed truck, municipal vehicles on a KAMAZ chassis, and a KAMAZ truck equipped with a drilling rig.
