TEHRAN, March 4 (Xinhua) — Iran said on Wednesday that US and Israeli strikes have killed 1,045 people since February 28.
In a statement published on its official website, Iran's Martyrs and Veterans Foundation called the strikes "aggressive and brutal."
On the morning of February 28, the US and Israel launched joint strikes on Tehran and several other Iranian cities, killing Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, members of his family, senior military commanders, and civilians. Iran responded with several series of missile and drone strikes against Israeli and US targets in the region.
