At Nikita Mikhalkov's Workshop "12" Theatre, artists from the Chuvash State Philharmonic will present the play "12 Chairs," based on the book of the same name by Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov.

The charming adventurer Ostap Bender encounters former registry office employee Kisa Vorobyaninov, obsessed with finding diamonds. According to his late mother-in-law, they're hidden in one of the twelve chairs in the living room. The ice is broken, and, retaining his assertive energy, thirst for adventure, and ability to get away with anything, Ostap becomes obsessed with finding the treasure.

Moscow composers Igor Zubkov and poet Alexander Vulykh have offered a completely new interpretation of the famous novel. Therefore, the musical will appeal to both older audiences and schoolchildren. All the Philharmonic's soloists and ensembles are involved in the production.

Duration: one hour 50 minutes with intermission.
