At Nikita Mikhalkov's Workshop 12 Theatre, actors from the Chuvash State Philharmonic will present the play "The Tale of the Merchant's Daughter and the Magic Flower." It is based on Sergei Aksakov's fairy tale "The Scarlet Flower."

The youngest daughter, Nastenka, asked her father to bring her a scarlet flower from overseas. But it turned out to be growing in the garden of a mysterious monster. After picking it, the merchant paid a terrible price—for this, the girl must leave her home and go to the monster's palace… However, all ends well.

The opera-musical "The Tale of the Merchant's Daughter and the Magic Flower" is an incredible combination of first-class vocals and spectacular dances, memorable melodies and vibrant visuals, modern technology and a traditional Russian fairy tale presented in a new, original interpretation.

Duration: one hour 20 minutes without intermission.
