The Liaohe River estuary in Panjin, Liaoning Province, is one of the main landing sites for western Pacific spotted seals in Liaodong Bay. In recent years, thanks to continuous improvements in the ecological environment and enhanced protective measures, hundreds of spotted seals feed in the water and rest on the shore at the Liaohe River estuary, leading a peaceful and comfortable life.
