Almaty, March 3 (Xinhua) — The volume of cargo handled through Kazakhstan's seaports has increased to 8 million tons by the end of 2025, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov announced on Tuesday.

"In 2025, container shipping volumes amounted to more than 90,000. For comparison, in 2024, this figure was approximately 60,000 containers," O. Bektenov wrote in his article published in the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper.
