"Currently, the condition of the capital's water is analyzed using the maximum number of physical, chemical, and biological indicators—around 200 in total. We monitor water quality throughout its entire journey—from the source to the end consumer. This year, we've already conducted over 550,000 different analyses," noted Pyotr Biryukov.
Sampling is conducted at 250 locations. Alongside laboratory monitoring, over 500 automated analyzers record data in real time. These devices monitor changes in key water composition indicators 24/7. Data from the analyzers is fed into a unified information system, enabling specialists to quickly make decisions about adjusting treatment procedures. The ongoing testing confirms that the water supplied to Muscovites' taps complies with all relevant standards.
Moscow consumes nearly three million cubic meters of water daily, and the capital has approximately 13,000 kilometers of water mains. Water treatment is provided at four stations: Severnaya, Vostochnaya, Zapadnaya, and Rublyovskaya.
