BEIJING, July 30 (Xinhua) — The Communist Party of China (CPC) has allocated 140 million yuan (about 19.6 million U.S. dollars) in party contributions to support flood control and relief efforts in nine regions in China, including Beijing, Hebei, Jilin and Shandong provinces.
The funds are allocated from contributions collected from Party members and managed by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee on behalf of the CPC Central Committee.
The Organizing Department emphasized the importance of grassroots organizations receiving these funds in a timely manner and using them to support party members, cadres, and ordinary citizens fighting on the front lines, to provide assistance to those who are in difficult life situations due to the natural disaster, and to repair facilities where party members are trained and educated.
In the fight against natural disasters, party organizations should serve as a stronghold, and party members should set an example, the Organization Department said. -0-
