JERUSALEM, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) — Israeli media reported Saturday evening that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in US-Israeli strikes and his body was recovered.
Several Israeli media outlets, including Channels 11, 12, and i24 News, reported, citing senior Israeli officials, that Israel has evidence that could confirm the death of A. Khamenei.
Iran has not confirmed this information. State media in the country quoted a government official as saying that "the enemy is currently resorting to psychological warfare."
Earlier in the day, Iranian media reported that the Supreme Leader was directing Iran's response to ongoing US-Israeli strikes, and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that almost all Iranian officials, except one or two commanders, were "alive, well and unharmed." –0–
