Yerevan, February 25 /Xinhua/ — Armenia's foreign trade turnover in January of this year decreased by 12 percent year-on-year, amounting to almost $1.27 billion, the Statistical Committee of Armenia reported on Wednesday.
Exports during the reporting period decreased by 13.5 percent to approximately $463 million, while imports decreased by 11.2 percent to approximately $811 million.
At the same time, the economic activity index in Armenia increased by 7.6 percent year-on-year in January. The highest growth rate was recorded in the construction sector.
