Tehran, February 17 (Xinhua) — The second round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States took place in Geneva on Tuesday in a more "constructive" atmosphere than the previous round in Oman, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

As A. Araghchi wrote in his post on Telegram, the parties reached a general agreement on a number of guiding principles that will be further developed and included in the text of the proposed agreement.

“This doesn’t mean we’ll be able to reach an agreement quickly, but at least the path has begun,” the Iranian diplomat concluded. –0–
