Islamabad, February 16 (Xinhua) — At least two people, including a child, were killed and several others injured in a blast that rocked Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, police said.
The explosion occurred near the Miryan police station in Bannu district, a local police spokesman told Xinhua.
Security forces and rescue teams immediately arrived at the scene and transported the injured to the nearest hospital. Some are in critical condition.
Police said they were investigating the nature and cause of the explosion.
