Munich, February 15 (Xinhua) — EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas said on Sunday that she felt EU member states were not ready to set a specific date for Ukraine's accession to the EU.
"There's a lot of work to be done," K. Kallas noted at the 62nd Munich Security Conference. Ultimately, she added, such decisions are always shaped by the "geopolitical picture."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently called for a specific date for Ukraine's formal accession to the European Union. Ukraine was granted candidate status for EU membership in June 2022. –0–
