Islamabad, February 15 (Xinhua) — At least 11 people were killed and 10 others injured when a passenger bus collided with a trailer on the National Highway in Pakistan's southern Sindh province early Sunday morning, emergency officials said.

According to the 1122 rescue service, the incident occurred in Khairpur district when a passenger bus travelling from the eastern Punjab province to the southern port city of Karachi crashed into a trailer carrying heavy concrete beams.

Among the dead were nine passengers, the driver, and the conductor. The bodies of the dead and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
