Minsk, February 15 (Xinhua) — A large-scale celebratory event, "The Blessed Horse Brings Happiness. The Concert 'Merry Spring Festival,'" took place in Minsk. The festive event spanned two days. On Friday, the concert took place at the Republican Palace of Culture of Trade Unions, and on Saturday, at the First National Trading House.

The event became a joint cultural celebration, uniting Chinese and Belarusian traditions. The program included dance, instrumental music, acrobatics, and martial arts, fully showcasing Chinese traditions and culture in their modern dynamics.

This year, numerous artistic groups from China came to Belarus to showcase their outstanding talents on the same stage as the renowned Belarusian State Academic Honored Choreographic Ensemble "Khoroshki."

As Chinese Ambassador to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan noted during the festive event on Friday, the Spring Festival is the most important and revered traditional holiday of the Chinese people.

"Belarus is our dear friend, with whom we share this joy. More than ten years have passed since our first joint celebration of the 'Merry Spring Festival' in Minsk in 2014. What began as a cultural exhibition has grown into a major cultural event," he emphasized.

Belarusian Minister of Culture Ruslan Chernetsky said the celebratory event is a clear demonstration of the strength of the cultural bridges linking Belarus and China. Belarus highly values its long-standing strategic partnership with China, based on the principles of mutual respect, equality, and consideration of mutual interests.

"Our mutually beneficial cooperation is built primarily on trust and friendship between the leaders of our countries. The two countries have built a strong architecture of cooperation, encompassing fruitful collaboration in all key areas," stated R. Chernetsky.

During the two-day festive event, the Beijing delegation organized interactive zones featuring intangible cultural heritage items for guests. Representatives of the Confucius Institute of the Belarusian National Technical University and the Confucius Institute of the Belarusian State University of Physical Education also organized their own workshops dedicated to the Spring Festival.
