RIYADH, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) — Saudi Arabian authorities on Thursday issued a royal decree appointing Fahad al-Saif as the country's new investment minister.
F. al-Saif is known primarily for his work at the country's sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund, as well as his participation on the boards of directors of various companies.
He replaced Khalid al-Falih, who had held the post since February 2020. Khalid al-Falih, in turn, was appointed Minister of State and a member of the cabinet.
The appointments were part of a broader series of royal decrees on personnel changes in ministries, the judiciary and advisory bodies, as well as on the replacement of provincial governors. –0–
