BEIJING, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) — General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Xi Jinping on Tuesday praised the hard work and contributions of delivery workers.
While visiting a canteen for the elderly as part of a two-day inspection tour of Beijing, Xi Jinping spoke with three delivery workers relaxing at the facility and asked them about their work and life.
"You work hard to meet the needs of countless families. The city couldn't function without workers like you. I hope you can all live well and work successfully," the Chinese leader said.
Xi Jinping called on Party committees and governments at all levels to care for workers in new employment sectors and provide them with quality services in their work, daily life, and studies.
