BEIJING, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) — Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Jiang Bin warned Tuesday that any attempt by separatists seeking "Taiwan independence" to provoke a war would have disastrous consequences.
Jiang Bin made the statement while commenting on media reports that the Taiwanese military plans to deploy HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems to the Penghu and Dongyin Islands in the Taiwan Strait.
