Bishkek, February 10 (Xinhua) — Kamchybek Tashiev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), has been dismissed from his post. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov signed the corresponding decree on Tuesday, his press service reported.
Later, S. Japarov commented on the dismissal of K. Tashiev from his positions.
"First and foremost, I made this decision in the interests of our state, with the goal of preventing divisions in society, including between government structures, and, on the contrary, strengthening unity," the president's press secretary, Askat Alagozov, reported, according to the Kyrgyz state news agency Kabar.
S. Zhaparov appointed Zhumgalbek Shabdanbekov as acting chairman of the State Committee for National Security.
Also dismissed from their posts were the first deputy head of the State Committee for National Security, Kurvanbek Avazov, and deputy chairmen of the State Committee for National Security, Elizar Smanov and Daniel Rysaliev. –0–
