New Delhi, February 7 (Xinhua) — India and the United States have reached a framework agreement on an interim arrangement for mutually beneficial trade, according to a joint statement released on Saturday.

The document notes that the United States will reduce reciprocal duties on imports of goods of Indian origin to 18 percent, including textiles and clothing, leather and footwear, plastics and rubber, organic chemicals, home decor items, handicrafts, and certain equipment.
