UN, February 6 /Xinhua/ — UN Secretary-General António Guterres strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a mosque in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, according to Deputy Spokesman Farhan Haq.

"The Secretary-General condemns in the strongest terms today's (February 6 – Xinhua note) attack on worshippers gathered at a mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan," his statement said.

"The Secretary-General reiterates that attacks on civilians and places of worship are unacceptable. He emphasizes that those responsible must be identified and held accountable," said F. Haq.
