Moscow, February 6 /Xinhua/ — Spacecraft launched in Russia on behalf of the Ministry of Defense have been successfully launched into orbit, the ministry's press service reported on Friday.

"At the estimated time, the spacecraft were launched into their target orbit and accepted for control by ground-based assets of the Aerospace Forces," the statement said.

A stable telemetry connection has been established and maintained with the satellites, and their onboard systems are functioning normally.

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1b medium-class launch vehicle carrying the spacecraft took place on Thursday from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk Region. –0–
