BEIJING, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) — The ruling by a World Trade Organization (WTO) panel on China's dispute with the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act reflects the basic consensus among WTO members, Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesperson He Yadong said Thursday.
He made this statement at a regular departmental press conference in response to a journalist's request for comment on the Office of the US Trade Representative's statement regarding this ruling. The American side, having acknowledged that it had lost the case, stated that the decision was incorrect and that existing WTO rules cannot address the problem of "excess production capacity."
China has taken note of the relevant statement, He Yadong noted, emphasizing that the WTO expert group made an objective and impartial decision on this case.
