BEIJING, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) — China opposes any country violating the international trade and economic order by establishing rules for "small groups," Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said on Thursday.

He made this statement at a regular departmental press conference, answering a question about the creation by the United States of the so-called “alliance for the extraction and production of critical minerals.”

Lin Jian noted that maintaining an open, inclusive and universally beneficial international trading environment is in the common interests of all countries.

He concluded that all parties have a responsibility to play a constructive role in maintaining the stability and security of global production and supply chains for critical minerals. -0-
