BEIJING, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) — China expresses regret over the expiration of the New START Treaty between Russia and the United States, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Thursday.
The New START Treaty is of great importance to maintaining global strategic stability, a Chinese diplomat said at a regular press conference, adding that the international community is deeply concerned that its expiration will have a negative impact on the international arms control regime and the global nuclear order. -0-
