The LADA Sport ROSNEFT racing team was the best in the Super Production class race on Saturday, winning the team cup at the fourth stage of the Russian Circuit Racing Series (RCRS). The competition took place last weekend in Kazan on the Kazan Ring race track.
LADA Sport ROSNEFT pilot Andrey Petukhov showed an impressive result, who started the race from the pit lane due to a delayed penalty on Saturday. Having made a series of successful overtakes, he took the second line in a tough fight, and the next day, in the Sunday race, he won the bronze medal. His teammate Leonid Panfilov, performing on Saturday in the heaviest car, which according to the championship rules was loaded with weight as a result of victories in previous races, was able to break into third place. The pilots' results allowed them to win the team cup.
The points earned strengthened LADA Sport ROSNEFT's leadership in the RCRS team standings, and Leonid Panfilov retained first place in the individual standings of the Russian Circuit Racing Cup.
