BEIJING, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) — China has always supported Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries in safeguarding their sovereignty, security and development interests, Chinese President Xi Jinping said during talks with Uruguayan President Yamandu Orsi in Beijing on Tuesday.
China has always valued and continues to value relations with LAC countries, he noted.
He said China also supports Uruguay in its upcoming presidency of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the Common Market of the South (MERCOSUR), and is willing to work with Uruguay and other countries in the region to further advance the construction of a community with a shared future for China and the LAC. -0-
