ISLAMABAD, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) — Pakistani security forces and law enforcement agencies "successfully foiled a dastardly plot by terrorists" by killing 92 terrorists in the southwestern province of Balochistan on Saturday, the military said in a statement.
On Saturday, terrorists carried out multiple attacks across the province, with the attacks aimed at "disrupting the lives of local people and the development of Balochistan," the military said.
They said 18 innocent civilians were killed in Gwadar and Kharan districts, while 15 soldiers were also killed during mine clearance operations and heavy clashes.
"With these successful operations over the last two days, the total number of terrorists killed in ongoing operations in Balochistan has reached 133," the statement said, adding that 41 of them were killed on Friday.
The statement added that anti-terrorist operations are constantly being conducted in these areas, and those responsible for these terrorist acts and those who assisted them will be held accountable. –0–
