BEIJING, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) — China's General Administration of Taxation (GAT) has issued an announcement introducing relevant adjustments and improvements to the rules for managing export tax refunds, which will simplify the processing of export tax refund declarations and improve efficiency.

This announcement consolidates various export tax refund and exemption provisions issued at various times into a single set of administrative measures. It clarifies issues such as document registration, declaration, processing, and service management, helping taxpayers better understand and comply with the rules.

The new measures streamline procedures for export tax refunds and exemptions, and leverage big data and new technologies to provide greater convenience for taxpayers in resolving related issues.

According to a representative of the aforementioned department, for the vast majority of enterprises, this announcement will not lead to significant changes in the existing declaration practice, which will ensure a smooth transition for the majority of enterprises taking advantage of the refund and exemption from export taxes. -0-
