JIUQUAN, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) — China on Saturday launched an Algerian Earth observation satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.
The satellite was launched at 12:01 PM Beijing time aboard a Long March-2C launch vehicle. The satellite successfully entered its designated orbit.
The Algerian satellite will be primarily used for land management, disaster prevention and mitigation.
The current flight mission was the 629th for the Long March series launch vehicles. -0-
