BEIJING, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) — China's IT software and services industry is expected to see double-digit revenue growth through 2025, signaling rapid expansion, according to data released Friday by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
According to the aforementioned department, last year, total software industry revenue grew 13.2 percent year-on-year to more than 15.48 trillion yuan (about $2.22 trillion), while total profits increased 7.3 percent to more than 1.88 trillion yuan.
Revenue in the IT services subsector last year amounted to 10.64 trillion yuan, up 14.7 percent year-on-year. In particular, revenue from cloud computing and big data processing services increased by 13.6 percent to 1.62 trillion yuan.
The data also showed that revenue from information security-related products and services reached 223.5 billion yuan, up 6.7 percent year-on-year. -0-
