BEIJING, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) — Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun on Thursday criticized a Philippine Coast Guard official who repeatedly made irresponsible and baseless remarks for personal political gain and deliberately undermined China's interests and authority.
"The words and actions of this representative and a handful of others in the Philippine military have caused serious damage to China-Philippine relations and mutual trust between the two countries," Guo Jiakun said at a regular departmental press conference.
