Specialists urban economy complex Over 200 gas regulating stations have been modernized over the past 15 years. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing, Utilities, and Public Works. Petr Biryukov.
"The city is systematically upgrading gas pressure control stations, which are responsible for reducing gas pressure to specific levels and maintaining it within specified limits. Over the past 15 years, 202 gas pressure control stations have been modernized as part of the gas infrastructure renewal and technological development program," said Pyotr Biryukov.
In the capital, both standard gas regulating stations and large, system-critical facilities are being upgraded. Of the 202 stations that have been modernized, seven are key to the entire city network—their stable operation is critical for providing gas to social infrastructure, industry, and the residential sector.
Most of the modernized stations underwent comprehensive technical upgrades. They were equipped with modern gas distribution equipment manufactured in-house by the Moscow gas utility. This equipment boasts increased reliability and low noise levels. Furthermore, new automated control systems were introduced and safety valves were updated. Work was also carried out to improve the performance and resilience of high-capacity facilities to peak loads.
In northern Moscow, a large gas regulating station, Novopodrezkovo, has been modernized.The modernization of the Silikatny gas control station has been completed.
All gas pressure control stations in the capital are required to be equipped with shut-off devices. Their operating parameters are constantly monitored from the central control room of JSC Mosgaz.
