Moscow, January 27 (Xinhua) — Investigators have opened a criminal case into the deaths of four people in a fire at a private home in Balashikha, Moscow Region, Russia, on Tuesday. This was reported by the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate (GID) of the Investigative Committee (SK) for the Moscow Region.
"Early in the morning of January 27, emergency services received information about a fire in a private home in Balashikha. After the fire was extinguished, the bodies of two men and two women were discovered. A 15-year-old boy with signs of carbon monoxide poisoning was also hospitalized. The exact number of victims is being determined," the statement reads.
According to media reports, Cuban citizens have died in a fire in Balashikha. Preliminary reports indicate the fire may have been caused by careless handling of fire.
