On January 17, 2026, the Winter Fishing Festival opened on the shores of Lake Xingkai, located on the Chinese-Russian border. Visitors were able to learn about the millennia-old culture of traditional fishing and experience the unique charm of the ice and snow culture of the northern border regions.
This year, the festival follows the integrated development concept of "culture, sport, tourism," aimed at transforming "cold resources" into a "hot industry."
