SHANGHAI, January 25 (Xinhua) — Another retail store under the "Made in Russia" brand officially opened in Shanghai on Saturday. It is operated by Shanghai Pinyinong Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd., a regional partner of the Russian Export Center (REC).
This is the fourth such store to open in the eastern Chinese metropolis since August 2025.
The new store boasts a wide selection of Russian products—from classic vodka, chocolate, and honey cake to powdered milk and other everyday products—which attracted numerous visitors. Customers lined up in the tasting area to sample these authentic Russian delicacies.
According to the Russian Export Center, 23 retail stores have already been opened in China under the Made in Russia program, with Shanghai being one of the fastest-growing markets.
According to Liu Zhiyuan, a representative of Shanghai Pinyinong Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd., Russian products meet the needs of Chinese consumers for healthy food products, which explains their popularity in China.
In the future, the "Made in Russia" retail chain plans to continue expanding in Shanghai and even the Yangtze River Delta region. By the end of 2026, the total number of such stores in Shanghai is expected to reach 10, he added.
