Lanzhou, January 23 (Xinhua) — Passengers on the Russian airline Azur Air, which made an emergency landing at Lanzhou Airport, the capital of Gansu Province in northwest China, have been accommodated in hotels in the city, Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport announced on Friday.

Flight ZF2998, en route from Phuket, Thailand, to the Russian city of Barnaul, experienced an in-flight emergency and issued a distress signal on Friday afternoon.

The plane landed safely at 4:51 PM at Zhongchuan Airport. There were 239 passengers and seven crew members on board. There were no injuries.
