BEIJING, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) — General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Xi Jinping on Friday congratulated To Lam on his re-election as general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee.
As Xi Jinping noted in his message, since the 13th National Congress of the CPV, the Party has been unwaveringly pursuing the path of socialist modernization that suits Vietnam's national conditions, upholding and strengthening comprehensive Party leadership, uniting and guiding the Vietnamese people to achieve outstanding achievements in socialist construction and renewal, and continuously enhancing Vietnam's international status and influence.
The successful holding of the 14th Congress of the CPV opened a new era in Vietnam's national development and will inspire and promote the development of the global socialist movement, the PRC Chairman stated.
