BEIJING, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) — History has proven that confrontation and antagonism will only cause harm and lead to regression, while dialogue and cooperation can promote prosperity and progress, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Friday.
The Chinese diplomat made this statement at a regular press conference, answering a question related to the 2026 annual session of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Noting that Vice Premier He Lifeng of the State Council of the People's Republic of China attended the forum, Guo Jiakun said that the positive message in his speech was addressed to the entire world: China is unwaveringly committed to advancing high-quality development, expanding high-level opening-up, promoting accessible and inclusive economic globalization, and creating a more equitable and rational international trade and economic order.
