The Irkutsk Region is implementing activities under the federal projects "Circular Economy," "Clean Air," "Water of Russia," and "Forest Preservation."
The meeting focused on organizing a solid municipal waste management system. Currently, 28 solid municipal waste management facilities operate in the Irkutsk Region, and new capacities are planned for commissioning as part of the national project. Dmitry Patrushev instructed that efforts in this area be stepped up, specifically to work with the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Russian Ecological Operator to monitor the construction of a waste sorting complex in Angarsk on schedule. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this facility will play a vital role in ensuring public comfort and achieving the relevant indicators of the "Environmental Well-Being" national project.
