Kyiv, January 22 (Xinhua) — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Thursday on the social media site X that he had a "productive" and "meaningful" meeting with US President Donald Trump in Davos (Switzerland) on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

According to him, the talks focused on the work of the Ukrainian and US teams to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict and strengthening Ukraine's air defense.

V. Zelensky thanked D. Trump for the delivery of the previous package of air defense missiles and asked for an additional one.

According to the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, later on Thursday, speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum, V. Zelensky announced that teams from Ukraine, Russia, and the United States would likely meet in the United Arab Emirates on January 23 and 24 to discuss peace issues. –0–
