BEIJING, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) — China has expressed deep condolences over the loss of life and sincere sympathy to the families and victims of a fire that broke out at a shopping mall in the southern Pakistani port city of Karachi, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a regular press conference on Thursday.
He wished the victims a speedy recovery.
The death toll from a major fire has risen to 60, local officials said Wednesday.
