"Repairing barriers damaged by vehicle collisions is a key focus for road services. Last year, over 60 kilometers of such structures were restored. Most often, repairs were carried out on sections of ring and outbound highways," noted Pyotr Biryukov.

Reconstruction of one such section takes from one and a half to two hours, depending on its length and the nature of the damage.

The head of the city's infrastructure department clarified that Moscow uses modern road barriers capable of supporting a vehicle weighing up to nine tons at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. These barriers help reduce the severity of accidents, preventing cars from crossing into oncoming traffic and, consequently, from colliding head-on with another vehicle.

During repairs, special piling rigs are used to dismantle damaged elements and then install new structures.
