BEIJING, January 21 (Xinhua) — A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Tanzania at 17:11 GMT on Tuesday, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.
According to preliminary data, the epicenter of the tremors was recorded at a point with coordinates of 8.31 degrees south latitude and 39.09 degrees east longitude. The hypocenter was located at a depth of 10 km.
