Davos, Switzerland, January 20 (Xinhua) — A new global registry of high-impact organizations, MINDS (meaningful, intelligent, innovative, deployable solutions), was launched on Tuesday in Davos at the World Economic Forum's (WEF) 2026 annual meeting. With the first batch of such organizations introduced last year, almost half of all artificial intelligence (AI) solutions deployed by them on both lists come from China.

The report, titled “Evidence Over Promises: A Look at Real-World AI Adoption from MINDS 2025 Organizations,” was jointly published by the WEF and Accenture.

An independent evaluation board of company executives and industry experts reviewed hundreds of case studies from more than 30 countries and regions, spanning over 20 industries, including healthcare, energy, and infrastructure, and selected MINDS organizations to demonstrate practical examples of high-impact applications of artificial intelligence.

"AI offers enormous potential, yet many organizations are still unsure how to realize it," said Stefan Mergenthaler, Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer at the WEF. "These selected use cases demonstrate what is possible when ambition translates into work transformation."

The 56th annual meeting of the WEF is taking place from January 19 to 23 in Davos, Switzerland, under the motto “Spirit of Dialogue.” The event is attended by business leaders, heads of government and international organizations, leading representatives of civil society and academia.
