According to police spokesperson Brenda Muridili, two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and three others were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds. She added that three armed men approached people near the courthouse and opened fire before fleeing in a car.

The incident occurred at around 10:30 local time /08:30 GMT/ at the main entrance to the court, B. Muridili clarified, noting that “the motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage, and an investigation is underway.”
