"The Moscow capital renovation program is one of the largest housing modernization projects not only in Russia but also in the world. It includes approximately 30,000 buildings with a total floor area of over 300 million square meters," noted Pyotr Biryukov.
The scope of work for each building is determined based on the service life of the utility systems and their technical condition. In winter, work is performed that is independent of the outside temperature and does not affect utilities during the heating season. This includes repairs to electrical and gas supply systems, sewerage systems, fire alarm systems, basements, garbage chutes, and entryways. Renovation of façades and flat roofs will begin once temperatures return to above zero.
Compliance with elevator operating periods is under special control, as this is high-risk equipment that requires regular technical inspections and timely replacement.
Since 2018, elevators in buildings managed by the regional operator have been replaced strictly in the year their 25-year service life expires.
