Bishkek, January 19 /Xinhua/ — According to preliminary estimates, Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product (GDP) for January-December 2025 amounted to 1.976 trillion soms (22.6 billion U.S. dollars), an increase of 11.1 percent compared to the same period in 2024. This was reported on Monday by the country's National Statistical Committee.

At the same time, the share of the service sector in the total GDP volume accounted for 51.2%, the share of commodity production industries – 34.4%, and the share of net taxes on products – 14.4%.

The volume of industrial production in January-December 2025 increased by 10.6 percent, in construction the growth was 21.1 percent, in wholesale and retail trade – 17.8 percent, in agriculture, forestry and fisheries – 2.2 percent, in the hotel and restaurant services sector – 14.3 percent, the volume of freight transportation by all modes of transport increased by 12.2 percent.

As noted, the increase in consumer prices and tariffs in January-December 2025 compared to December of the previous year nationwide amounted to 9.4 percent. At the same time, prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 9.9 percent, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products by 8.0 percent, non-food products by 7.8 percent, and tariffs for services provided to the population by 11.2 percent.

Kyrgyzstan's foreign and mutual trade in goods in January-November 2025 amounted to more than $14 billion, a 12.2 percent decrease compared to January-November 2024. Exports decreased by 43.5 percent, while imports increased by 0.5 percent.
