Tehran, January 17 (Xinhua) — Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday called on regional countries to work together to maintain peace, stability, and security, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday.

During the telephone conversation, the two diplomats discussed the latest regional and international developments, as well as bilateral relations, expressing their shared determination to strengthen cooperation in all areas.

Araghchi praised Pakistan's position at the emergency UN Security Council meeting held on January 15, which was devoted to the unrest in Iran, and emphasized that Islamabad rejects foreign interference in Tehran's internal affairs.
