Minsk, January 16 (Xinhua) — In 2025, agricultural production in Belarus across all farm categories amounted to 40.1 billion Belarusian rubles (approximately 13.7 billion U.S. dollars) in current prices, or 100.2 percent of the 2024 level in comparable prices. The corresponding information was published by the Belarusian National Statistical Committee (Belstat) on Thursday.

Agricultural organizations produced goods worth 33.3 billion Belarusian rubles (approximately 11.4 billion US dollars), or 2.7 percent more in comparable prices than in the previous year.

Agricultural organizations account for 97.3 percent of the republic’s production of livestock and poultry (in live weight), milk – 97.9 percent, eggs – 87.2 percent, grain – 95.5 percent, sugar beets – 97 percent, potatoes – 12.5 percent, and vegetables – 6.3 percent.

Agricultural organizations produced 1,774.6 thousand tons of livestock and poultry /in live weight/, which is 0.1 percent more than in 2024, 9,002.3 thousand tons of milk /5.3 percent more/, 3,399.7 million eggs were received /5.5 percent more/. The gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 8.7 million tons, or 10.2 percent more than in the previous year, sugar beet – 5.7 million tons /17.9 percent more/, potatoes – 379.9 thousand tons /13 percent more/, vegetables – 169.7 thousand tons /6.5 percent more/.
